Frogs Leap into the Tennessee Aquarium
The Tennessee Aquarium is undergoing some remodeling and in honor of the Year of the Frog, a new frog exhibit is about to open on February 29. We are looking forward to seeing the poison dart frogs that will be in the exhibit.
Sleep/Park Airport Locations
We often go to Atlanta or Nashville to fly. When we have an early morning flight we like to drive there the night before and stay in a hotel that lets us leave our car while we are gone, thus avoiding having to pay the sometimes hefty parking lot fees and fighting the early morning traffic which can be a bit nerve racking when you're needed to catch a flight. This morning I stumbled upon a website that lists information about the hotels that have these programs in many cities in the US. It is parksleepfly.com and using it I was able to get a good deal for our next trip
Predicting Airline Ticket Costs
Farecast.com is another one of those websites that we heard about and looked at but haven't actually tried. It appears that it could be a really good tool for travel between both a number of domestic and now international cities if you are about to buy a ticket and want to know if you should buy today or wait a day or two. For more information you can go to their website or see what Budget Travel has to say about them at http://current.newsweek.com/budgettravel/2008/02/airfares_site_adds_fare_predic.html?wpisrc=newsletter
Other Newsletters
There are several complimentary newsletters that we've been getting that have some good tips in them. One is from West Coast Imaging. They recently had a really nice tutorial on using layer masks. The other one that has been around forever is the New York Institute of Photography. They had a great article on how to photograph the Lunar Eclipse. If you sign on to their websites you can request to receive these newsletters.
