Colorado & Utah

Filled, taking waiting list

Saturday evening, September 20, through noon on Saturday, September 27, 2008

Offered in Conjunction with the Tennessee Aquarium

We are looking forward to returning to this area. This photo tour will include a variety of different photographic opportunities. After meeting in Grand Junction, CO, we will travel to Moab, UT, taking the scenic route along the Colorado River. We will photograph in and around Arches National Park with its colorful red sandstone rock formations including its famous arches. In the area we will also see petroglyphs, and visit Dead Horse Point with its sweeping view of a horseshoe bend in the Colorado River 2000 feet below. We will then focus on the scenic San Juan Mountains near Durango and Ouray. In a typical year, the aspens on the mountains will be turning a brilliant yellow. We will explore some of the old towns including Silverton and photograph the trains on the Durango Silverton Railroad. This workshop is a day longer than our other US trips to allow time for all the locations we will visit.
