Hello!

We hope that you are having a happy holiday season.

The hard copy of our newsletter will be going to the printer next week and will be sent out shortly. The newsletter mostly duplicates the information on our website, but if you would like to have a hard copy and don't receive one within the next few weeks, please let us know and we'll be happy to send you a one.

Several of our workshops for 2006 are filled or nearly filled—see our schedule below for details.  However, we still have space available in several great locations and we hope that you will be able to join us.

Although winter has just officially begun, spring will be here in Tennessee before we know it.  If you are interested in joining us in April for springtime in the Smokies, please let us know.

We wish you all a very happy new year filled with joy and great photography.

 Wilderness Wildlife Week

The Music Road Hotel in Pigeon Forge will be the site of the 16th annual Wilderness Wildlife Week.  This weeklong event, part of Pigeon Forge’s Winterfest Celebration, will be held January 7-15, 2006.

Recognized as one of the nation's leading conservation education events, Pigeon Forge Wilderness Week™ combines nature workshops and lectures with daily hikes on some of the best trails in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This exciting, free event, recently received the Gold Pinnacle Award for best educational event by the International Festival Events Association.

During the nine days of Wilderness Wildlife Week™, you can participate in more than 50 hikes and field trips as well as more than 100 lectures, workshops and presentations by over 90 experts in their field. Wilderness Week topics include natural and cultural history, photography, fly fishing, songbirds, orienteering and much more! From wildlife and wildflowers to legends of the Cherokee Indians and early settlers, Pigeon Forge Wilderness Week offers something of interest to everyone.

We will be presenting a Nature Photography Workshop with Harold Stinnette and Kendall Chiles from 9 until 1 on Saturday, Jan 7 and another program on Color and Light in Photography at 11 on Sunday, Jan 8.)  We hope you can join us.
